International Grand Prix Rider for Bill Hutton Challenge
The Knock Motorcycle Club are delighted to have received a late entry for their Bill Hutton Challenge race on Saturday 14th June at Downpatrick from Grand Prix Rider, Neville Bradshaw.
Bradshaw, fresh from his 19th & 22nd places at the British Grand Prix last weekend at Mallory Park, is riding his DB Racing Honda 450F at the innovative event, run as per the AMA Supercross series, in heats and finals.
Neville is a 24 year old South African, born of Northern Irish parents, he has competed on the grand prix scene for Motovision Suzuki, PAR Honda, where he was Gordon Crockards team mate in 2007, and now with his new team, DB Racing, he currently lies in sixth place in the MX2 class.
He has strong connections to Northern Ireland as his father lives in the province, and is looking forward to having a crack at the large purse, particularly the £500 first prize on offer to the winner of the event, staged in memory of the well known Road Race travelling marshal from Jordanstown who passed away last year.
Bradshaw’s presence should spice up the racing on Saturday, as ‘foreign’ visitors are rare these days in Ulster Motocross circles, and also give the locals Wayne Garret, Tommy Merton Stuart Edmunds and Graeme Irwin something to gauge themselves against in the run up to the Maxxis British Championship at Desertmartin on 22nd June.
A great days racing is in prospect as the main protagonists should be kept apart until the final race of the day through the various heats and semi finals.
